Puddles, mud and new siding

PO Box 25213, Houston, TX 77265-5213. hospitalityapartments@yahoo.com) Since 1968 the Hospitality Apartments, located south of the Texas Medical Center in Houston at 7300 Bertner Avenue (formerly 7219 Cecil Street), have been providing free temporary housing (up to three months) and a welcoming, supportive environment for out-of-town medical center patients and their caregivers. Entries in this blog follow the demolition of old apartments (begun spring, 2006)and construction of 46 new apartments and community room/office (begun November 2006). Also notice the "tracks" with the platforms that are used instead of regular scaffolding. In picture two you can see the stairways, courtyard area and the connections between the two apartment buildings. In picture three the porte cochere is beginning to take place. How nice to have a way to enter under cover! The last picture shows the community room/office building on the right and the north end of the apartment buildings with the covered walkways between. These walkways are ten feet wide. FYI The only area on campus where smoking will be allowed will be on the fourth story walkway between the buildings. That area will provide a safe, covered smoking area what should be well ventilated as it will be open on both sides.
