Pictures of progress!

A group is meeting weekly on Wednesdays to coordinate progress on the project and to answer any questions that have come up. The group includes (l-r picture 1) Cliff Thuot, Spaw Glass Contruction Corp.; Joe Hightower, Hospitality Apartments; Mark Sacco, construction facilitator; O'Neal Furr, Gensler Architects; and (photographer) Jon Stevens, Hospitality Apartments.

Who knew that seeing the installation of power poles (picture 2) could be so exciting! After months of wondering where the power poles should go, whether the proper clearance was being maintained, where the water line was (so that the poles wouldn't be installed in the line), who would pay for the relocation, how long it would take to reschedule the relocation, who had lines on the old power poles that needed to be moved, etc., the new poles are being installed! The old poles were in the way of the new buildings.

Other good news - now that the old utility easement is no longer needed, the City of Houston has approved selling the easement to the Hospitality Apartments and the property is being replatted.
